Company Pop Chorus
Singing as a group is a very powerful bonding experience and has been recognised as a useful team building tool within business (did you see the recent BBC Gareth Malone series ‘Sing while you work’?). If you’d like to explore the possibility of running a one-off workshop for your staff or even starting a regular company Pop Chorus, please get in touch.
Day workshops and weekend courses
Yula runs annual workshops, focussing on vocal techniques and exploring specialist areas. Keep an eye out for the next sessions.
Singing for health and happiness
Yula regularly runs singing sessions for health and happiness. She is available to give talks and demonstrations on the health benefits of singing and run ad hoc singing sessions for anyone who might be interested. Past groups have helped people with dementia, Parkinson’s, Down’s Syndrome and learning disabilities, as well as disadvantaged youngsters and groups of older singers in residential homes.
She also runs a friendly and fun singing group in Otley, 2-4pm on the 2nd Thursday of every month – we sing for about an hour and then chat and eat cake, what’s not to love?! Currently we welcome people with memory problems to attend with their carers, but the group would also suit those with Parkinson’s, people recovering from illness, stroke and palsy sufferers and older people who’d just enjoy a good sing, tea, cake and company… We sing all sorts of things, from Doris Day to My Fair Lady and from Sinatra to the Beatles! Contact Yula direct or get in touch with Vicky Hutchinson at Age UK for more information and to register your interest email@example.com.
Health and Happiness group – 2-4pm every Monday in Otley, this group is open to anyone who feels they would benefit from the opportunity to sing in a friendly, unpressured environment as part of a group. We’ll be singing everything from Gershwin to Coldplay! Songs are sung in unison, with no need to read music or learn words. Contact Yula for more information or just turn up to a session at Nettus Barn, Moat Farm, Otley, IP6 9PE, where you’ll be made very welcome.
